IBDP and IB Course results 2024

We are very proud of the results of all our students. Behind the final scores are the stories of the challenges they overcame and the improvements they made, and a short report such as this will always only be able to reveal a small amount.

Here are some highlights:

  • Our average was 36.8, which is the highest average SIS has achieved outside of the COVID years;
  • 5 students scored the full 45 marks;
  • 4 students scored 44 and 9 students scored 43;
  • 78% of individual subject grades were equal to or higher than ALIS predictions;
  • 90% of our students scored 30 or above, compared to the world at 56%.

 IBCP and Personalised Pathway results

As a school, we continue to help all students find the most appropriate pathway for their style of learning in order to be the best they can be. Our large IBCP cohorts and the strength of their results continue to highlight this. In 2024, South Island School had all 12 students achieve the full Career-related programme. In the BTEC Diplomas 58% of results were Double Distinction or above, and 100% of results were Double Merit or above. The average UCAS points of the cohort was 165, a significant increase from the previous year.

We were particularly proud to see 5 of our IBCP students nominated for Chairman’s Awards. Along with academic awards, they were also recognized for their leadership and sporting excellence.
