2001

John Wray becomes the fourth Principal of SIS

Chris Evans retired as Principal. The school welcomed John Wray as the new Principal.

2003

The Da Vinci Block is opened

The Da Vinci Block (D Block) was opened and all the other blocks were re-named as the Ching Ling Soong Block and the Stephen Hawking Block.

2007

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is introduced

Replacing the British A-Levels curriculum, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is introduced to our Year 12 and Y13 students. The newly renovated and renamed IB Centre was opened for our senior students.

2008

1-to-1 Laptop Programme begins

Recognising the importance of computers in our student’s education and daily life, the school began the 1-to-1 laptop programme. All 1400 students begin to carry their own laptop to school as technology is integrated into our student’s learning in and out of the classroom.

2009

Advance Diploma Programme is Introduced

To provide more choices and further support for our senior students, SIS introduced the Advanced Diploma Programme as an alternative to the IB Diploma with 3 BTEC subjects. The IB Centre was renamed to the Diploma Centre.
